I didn’t attend Field Day as I had too much work to do – but I hear it was very crowded, and you couldn’t even hear much…
I love live music. I used to do music reviews in uni, and it was the best – getting to go to all these gigs (some good, mostly bad) for free. I still review the odd band here and there, but the majority of it I’d buy tickets (yes something I do pay for). And festivals are even better, to discover new music and frolic with friends. This year I finally went to Coachella with some of my favourite people and it was EPIC. However it was 40C heat in the desert – your fashion choice was limited to whatever didn’t stick to your thighs – I spent most of the festival in not very much…
That’s the beauty of UK festivals – you can indulge in off-kilter, sartorial clothing choices because most of the time, the weather ain’t so great. The addition of various paraphernalia enhances the ability of your body to retain some extra heat (maybe). But you don’t want to wear the same overpriced flower headbands and horrendous fluffy headbands as everyone else who’s spending the best part of a tenner on this tat.
Alter Ego was formed by a group of friends with a mutual love for dressing up and summer festivals. Having only launched in June, Alter Ego have been hawking their wondrous wares at already at Secret Garden Party and Glastonbury for revellers to beautify their Barbours with great aplomb and success.

Keep up to date on all their new pieces being added on their blog and Facebook page.
I do love me a feathery shoulder piece – as seen in my last shoot for Schön!…
