The Bold and the Beautiful [REVIEW]

Since I don’t own a camera of my own, and am a bit rubbish with one, a decent phone camera is imperative. The PlayBook camera has already shown to be of a pretty good quality, with HD video recording, except it doesn’t have a flash. What is a PlayBook without it’s companion of a BlackBerry handset, namely the Bold 9900. 5MP, autofocus and a flash. Let’s see how it works out in the field:

Here’s a selection of photos I’ve taken on press days with the BlackBerry Bold. The lighting at different venues varies, so I’m lucky that it has a pretty powerful flash. I usually take photos on the “Auto” setting when there’s a decent amount of light, but when I’m in low light and have to use the flash, I tend to use the “Party” setting.

What do you guys think? Worth forgoing carrying around a camera?
