London Jewellery Week 9 – 13 June : Treasure @ Victoria House, Bloomsbury
‘Rocking Chair’ by Gemma Elizabeth Holz
Being a lady, and being rather fond of sparkly things, you would think I’d be more inclined towards baubles and trinkets. But I rarely wear any; still I would never pass up an occasion to drink random pink drinks with apple chips in them and get a goody bag with Fake Bake in it. And I as I said, I do love sparkly things. And I’m Asian, but I may want to use fake tan. You can never be too orange.
I went on the Friday having missed the majority of the industry events (I’m a busy girl) to check out the designers at the Treasure event at Victoria House in Bloomsbury. I had attended the evening before but had to leave due to an overbearing crush of sweaty fashion people, the concept of personal hygiene obviously leaves a lot to be desired. Thankfully Friday was BO free, and pleasantly airy, and I attended with a photographer friend of mine.
Days where I don’t need to wave my pass around furiously
AKA Press Days.
Do you like what I did there?
I do apologise, gentle readers, if you were anticipating posts on the press days I have attended. Firstly I keep forgetting when they’re on (I need a diary), secondly I keep falling asleep at inopportunate times. This is not because I’m extremely lazy, which is something no-one can accuse me of, but it’s because I am just getting over the flu and have no idea how I caught it.
I haven’t been working in this fashion game very long (about 6 or so months) but I have come in leaps and bounds from just my initial fashion blog posts. But I am getting my name out there, and meeting lots of fabbo people and most importantly getting to touch lots of beautiful clothes. (MMM SILK)
I will write a short summary of the press days I have attended so far, and there will be more posts to come, on a more regular basis.
Also London based fans (haha fans, I made a joke) – keep this Sunday free. That’s all I’m saying now. Keep the eyes peeled, and I will enlighten you tomorrow.

What is The Science of Style?
I am Sabrina, someone who loved fashion and fell into it purely by accident. I'm an accidental stylist (truly an accident) and journalist. I also know a lot about the internet and social media. I have worked for MTV, Time Out, The Sunday Times Style and Cosmpolitan to name a few. My portfolio has nice photos. Once I had to dance up on Kevin Bacon dressed as a tiger.
