A LFW Presentation you all can go to (and should go): Charlie May SS11 14th September 2011

Us bloggers do not only have one string to our bow. Charlie May aka Girl A La Mode is a fellow blogger, and designer, launching her first RTW collection this London Fashion Week for SS11. And everyone can go. All you have to do is RSVP to INFO@CHARLIE-MAY.CO.UK

Lots of people ask me how you can go to shows and the ilk, but you require press accreditation. But there are many great smaller designers, such as Charlie May, which you should so check out.

The Style Crusader also has some great behind the scenes photos of Charlie in her studio also.

If you’re based in London or the surrounding areas and you can make it down, I highly suggest you do.

NYFW SS11: Jonathan Simkhai, 50 Gansevoort

Another designer I haven’t heard of, but my good friend Tina Gao invited me along to this presentation in NY’s Meatpacking District.

The models were idly posing on velvet banquettes, tables, and posing on sofas while rather fabulous people (and I) milled around. They looked a little bored, but I guess being a mannequin isn’t that thrilling.

LFW and other news

Got my registration through yday for LFW, yeah boi!

So now to sort out the other members of my entourage, which will also be blogging away for me as well. Nice one.

In other news, I no longer work for that hell hole that is referred to as Wallpaper* magazine. I got fireeeeeeeed. Which was jokes but also rude too. I didn’t suck up enough, expect a longer post on that soon!

I am now back to freelance and freeeeeee as a bird. Feels SO good.

It just surprises me how unprofessional people can be… even in well known publications… and some others. Some people need to put their personal feelings aside.

Roisin Murphy is the bomb. F’realz. The creative process is something that fascinates me greatly. Being able to be there from the conception of an idea to the end is amazing. There are no words for it. Not even two. LOL.
